Most wholesale nurseries send the same thing every week: a spreadsheet, emailed Thursday, sometimes posted as a PDF too. It carries the whole season's selling, and nobody can make it look like anything. A generation ago that same list went out as a printed catalog with photography and real typesetting. Postage killed the catalog, and the spreadsheet is what was left.
This puts some of it back. You already put real thought into that sheet — what made the list, what's worth pushing this week, what you'd rather not promise yet. It just doesn't look like it in a spreadsheet. Same data, same Thursday habit, set properly and with your name at the top: something you'd be glad to have land in a customer's inbox.
Fair warning, though — it makes a good document out of a file you're still keeping by hand. It won't update your quantities, and it won't stop you selling the same tray twice.
The document is the easy part.
A PDF is right the moment you build it. Getting real numbers into it, and handling what comes back, is the rest of the job.

Someone walks the houses with a clipboard, or the count is last month's plus a guess. Production tracking follows every plant from propagation through each pot-up, so the number on the list is the number in the field.

Does my availability file get uploaded anywhere?
No. Your spreadsheet is read by your own browser and never sent to us — we never see your plants, quantities, or prices, and nothing about the file is stored. Your setup is saved on your own device so next week's list comes out the same: which columns are which, the look you picked, your contact details. That stays on your device too, and a Reset button clears it.
What file types can I use?
Excel (.xlsx and .xls) and CSV. You can also copy a block of cells straight out of Excel or Google Sheets and paste it in. If your list lives somewhere else, exporting it as CSV is usually enough.
Do I have to tidy up my spreadsheet first?
The layout, no — a nursery name above the columns, headings like SHRUBS typed on their own row, blank spacers and a totals line at the bottom are all read past. The content is another matter: whatever is in your sheet is what prints, so a misspelled cultivar or sizes typed three different ways come through as they are. You'll see the finished document before you download it, and fixing something is quick — correct it in your spreadsheet and drop the file in again. Your columns and layout are already remembered.
Can I send different prices to different customers?
Yes. If your sheet carries several price columns — Landscape, IGC, Broker Net, whatever you call them — all of them are detected and you choose which one this document shows. Build it once per tier to get a separate PDF for each group of customers.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
It is free and there is no sign-up. No email, no account, no trial. The tool runs entirely in your browser, so there is nothing to install and nothing to log into.
Will next week's list come out looking the same?
Yes. Your column mapping, layout, style, logo, and contact details are kept in your browser, so next week is just drop the new file in and download. If your spreadsheet gains a column or you move one, the mapping follows the column names rather than their position.
Can my customers order from it?
The order-form layout adds a blank Order column and a total line, so a buyer can print it, mark quantities by hand, and send it back — which is what many already do with an emailed list. It is still a document, not an order system: nothing is submitted anywhere.
How long a list can it handle?
Longer than most nurseries carry. A five thousand row list parses in well under a second and builds a PDF in about one. Very wide sheets with many columns are better in landscape, which is one of the page options.
Does it keep my availability up to date?
No — it makes a good document out of the file you are maintaining by hand, and it is accurate as of the moment you build it. It cannot know what sold this morning, and it will not stop you overselling something. Keeping quantities current as orders come in is what Plantiful does.
